Tucked away in the mountains of western North Carolina, just 35 miles northeast of Asheville, is Cabin on the Green. This cozy 200 year old single room cabin with a new addition, including a fully equipped kitchen and bath, provides all the modern conveniences and can serve as your "base camp" for hiking, fishing, art and crafts shopping, skiing, or just seeing what our region has to offer. For those who just want to get away from it all, our cabin offers a wonderful romantic setting with panoramic views.

The cabin is located on Early Bird Lane, a short distance off 197S (Pensacola Road), and just 5 miles from Burnsville on the backside of Mt. Mitchell State Park. For the adventurous there is a trail a mile from the cabin that allows you to walk to the park. Across the road from the cabin is the Cane River and some of the best trout fishing that can be found anywhere. Deer will occasionally stop by to eat apples from the two apple trees beside the cabin.
